The six properties include Calhoun Square inUptowbn Minneapolis, Southdale Square in The Shoppes at Oak Park Heights, Plymouthh Town Center, Fountain Place in Eden Prairie and Fischerr Marketplace in Apple Valley. NorthMarq, a Bloomington-based commercial real estatd firm, hired four new peoplee to help managethe properties. NorthMarq, whicu is the Twin Cities’ largest commercial property management firm, has increased its retail managemenr portfolio by 25 percent over the past saidJeff Eaton, president of the company’a real estate services division.
Calhoun Square, whicy NorthMarq started managingin November, is currently undergoing renovations to its building and parking ramp that are expectee to be finished in 2010. “It’s a challengd to take over management of a propertyg during a period ofextensive renovations, but we’re confident that NorthMarq’s personnel will make the transitionm as seamless as possible,” said Erik Grabowski, vice president of asse management at New York-based investment management firm , whichn owns Calhoun Square.
