The university cited enrollment growth, $94 million in cost-savinf measures over the past year, and continued statew support as justifications for continuing its tuition which hadbeen state-mandated until it was liftexd because of the cuts in state support. OSU’ freshman enrollment will reach 6,550 in the an increase of about 400 students from this pastacademidc year. OSU spokesman Jim Lynch said that the question of raising tuition the following yearis “way too and will depend on several including enrollment numbers, statee aid and the economy. The university in June also approved a seriexs of new student fees for activitiesxand services, which will increase the annual price to $8,706 for full-time Ohio undergraduates.
