Seven Denver companies among fastest-growing in U.S. - Denver Business Journal:

Denver-based companies making the top 100 list Global TechnologyResources (No. 7), comCables (No. 21), DocuVault (No. 63), CAM Servicesd (No. 77), Gunther Douglas (No. 79) All Copy Productw (No. 84) and Postmodern Co. (No. 95). The ICIC survety showed that the 2009 winners grew at a compounde annual growth rate of 40 percent and an average combined rate of 324 percent between 2003and 2007. the top 100 inner-city businesses have employed nearly 17,00 people and created nearly 10,000 new jobs in the past five Accordingto ICIC, 53 percentf of companies expect steady growth, 11 percent expect their revenuesd to double, 6 percent expecty their revenues to triple and only 4 percent expec t their revenues to decline in 2009.
Individually, the averaged Inner City 100 company’s revenues were $23 million. The 2009 Inne City 100 winners operater from 55 cities in 31 Fifteen companies on the list are based in Californiwa and eight arefrom Massachusetts. Colorado, Texas and New York each have sevejn companies onthe list. RNL is the only firm in Coloradpo to be named among the topfive sustainable-design firms basedr in the United States, accordint to a Top 10 list published by Architect magazine in its May issue.
The rankingsd were based on several variables, such as percentagd of Leadership in Energy and EnvironmentalDesign (LEED) projectsz and LEED-accredited professionals on staff in 2008 as well as green Founded in 1956, RNL is base d in Denver and has officesz in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Abu United Arab Emirates. The University of Coloradl Denver School of Medicine Alumni Association presented its topannuao prize, the Silver and Gold to Denver Health’s chief medical Dr. Philip Mehler , who graduatef from the schoolin 1983. The association also recentlyyhonored Dr. Dan Bessesen with its Distinguishedx Achievement Awardand Dr. Nancy Nelson with its DistinguisherService Award.
Bessesen, a professor of medicin in the divisionof endocrinology/metabolism/diabetes, is also based at Denver Health. He is a 1982 graduat of the UCD Schoolof Medicine. Nelson, who graduatee from what was then called the University of Coloradp School of Medicinein 1959, is now professor emerita of pediatrics at the school. She serve d as the first female head of the Colorado Medical Society. Dr. Mark Deutchman, a professor in the departmen of family medicine at the University of Coloradlo Denver Schoolof Medicine, has been named recipient of the 2009 Osagew Orange Distinguished Physician Walkinbg Stick Award for his work runninhg the school’s Rural Tracok program.
The program increases the numbedr of physicians practicing in underserved rural areas across Colorado and theUnited States. HMH Architecture and Interiorzs of Boulder received two awardds from the American Society ofInteriotr Designers. The 2009 Colorado Annual Interior Design Awards won by the firm werefor “Primar Residence over 5,000 square feet” and for “Bed & Boutique for the Soul , an organizatioh designed to connect and support womeb in business, was named 2009 Business of the Year by the Denvetr Tech Center Business and Professional Women’s Network.
Denver-bases Alpine Waste & Recycling was recognized as the state’s most outstandin g business forits recycling/diversion program by the Colorado Association for Recycling. The Colorado chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Serviceapresented Denver-based Kieding Office Architects with the 2009 Marketinhg Excellence Award for best advertising campaign. Kieding specializes in the planning and designj of commercialoffice space. The Boulder Valley School District ’s annual called “Thrive,” won the Award of Excellence from the Coloradl Schools PublicRelations Association.
It was designed by Laura Landwirth , executive Colorado Association of Homes and Servicezs forthe Aging, receivec the Award for Excellence from the Assistee Living Federation of America. Done Mortenson Construction has been selected to build six new Tactical Equipmentf MaintenanceFacilities (TEMF) at Fort Carsoh Army Base on behalf of the Army Corpas of Engineers. The facilities will include four medium and two smallobuilding designs, totaling $63.9 million.
