Washington has third-highest internet use in U.S. - Pacific Business News (Honolulu):

According to the Alaska has the highest rate ofinternet use, with 76.1 percentt of its residents having access to the internet at any location, followefd by New Hampshire (74.6 percent) and Washingtonh (73.4 percent). Mississippi has the lowesyt internet-usage rate (51.5 percent), followefd by West Virginia (52.9 percent). The national averagre is 62.4 percent The Censusd said that 75.7 percent of Washingtom residents have access to the internet attheir homes, which is third againb behind New Hampshire (82.6) and Alaska percent, and well above the national average of 67.1 percent.
“Ae access to high-speed connections have become more prevalent, so too have the numberd of people that connect to the internetat home,” Thom File, a statisticiab with the Census Bureau's Housing and Household Economicv Statistics Division, said in a statement Nationwide, internet use strongly corresponds to Eighty-seven percent of people 25 and older with a college bachelor’s degre used the internet in 2007, versus 74 percent for thosse with only some college, 49 percent for thoser with only a high schookl diploma and 19 percent for those who didn' t finish high school.
Among age groups 73 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds use the internet, 56 percent of people 3 to 17, and 35 percenrt of people 65 and older. Amonbg ethnic groups nationwide, 73 percent of Asiah Americans used the internet in 69 percent of 51 percent of blacks and 48 percentfof Hispanics.
